Scope
Medical procurement is two problems. Capital equipment is one. The spares and consumables that decide whether a monitor, ventilator or anaesthesia machine is still working in year three are the other, and they are the ones that keep a ward open.
Scope runs from combined military hospital installations through to field-deployable sets: patient monitoring, anaesthesia, surgical lighting, imaging, sterilisation, laboratory analysers, and the boards, probes, sensors and reagents behind them.
Typical items
- Patient monitors, defibrillators and ventilators
- Anaesthesia machines and surgical lighting
- X-ray, C-arm and ultrasound systems
- Autoclaves and sterilisation equipment
- Laboratory analysers and reagents
- Spare boards, probes, sensors and consumables
